Jesus, What A Wonderful Child
Jesus Jesus oh what a wonderful child
Jesus Jesus so lowly meek and mild
New life new hope new joy he brings wont you listen to the angels sing
Glory Glory Glory to the newborn king
He was herald by the angels born in a lowly manger
Mary was his earthly mother
And Joseph was his earthly father
Three wise men came from afar they were guided by a heavenly star
To see King Jesus where he lay in a manger filled with hay
Wonderful counselor prince of peace mighty god wonderful Jesus mighty God
Hope Has Hands
In search of a child they traveled so far
Led by a star to a place of joy
Now the wise men tell a beautiful story
Describing the glory of a baby boy
Hope has hands freedom has feet
Truth will stand the word will speak
The holy and lowly will finally embrace
For love has a heartbeat and grace has a face
Compassion has a tear joy has laughter
Here ever after peace has a smile
Redemption’s blood has vein to flow in
a temple to glow in for light is a child
Mary’s Christmas
She was an ordinary girl who loved a carpenter
Now their making wedding plans
She knows he could leave her there to bear the shame
But he’s not that kind of man
She’s carrying a child and they both know that it’s not his
It will be a miracle if they can get through this
Mary’s Christmas and she’s not sure just what tomorrow holds but she holding on
It’s hard believing it’s beyond reason how a miracle came through all of this on Mary’s Christmas
Now people love to talk and how the rumors spread
Seems they just can’t understand
How precious is a newborn child a priceless gift?
No matter what the circumstance
She’s been told the child she holds will be a king someday
Tonight he his her baby boy the world will have to wait
Christmas Shoes
It was almost Christmas time there I stood in another line trying to buy that last gift or two not really in the Christmas mood/ standing right in front of me was a boy waiting anxiously pacing round like little boys do and in his hand he held a pair of shoes/ and his clothes were worn and old he was dirty from head to toe/ when it came his time to pay I couldn’t believe what I heard him say/
Sir I wanna buy these shoes for my momma please it’s Christmas eve and these shoes are just her size could you hurry sir daddy says there’s not much time you see she’s been sick for quite a while and I know these shoes will make her smile and I want her to look beautiful if momma meets Jesus tonight
They counted pennies for what seemed like years/ the cashier said son there’s not enough here he searched his pocket frantically then he turned and he looked at me he said momma made Christmas good at our house most years she just did without tell me sir what am I Gonna do somehow I’ve gotta buy these Christmas shoes
So I laid the money down I just had to help him out I never forget the look on his face hen he said mommas Gonna look so great
I knew I’d caught a glimpse of heavens love and he thanked me and ran out I knew that God had sent that little boy to remind me what Christmas is all about
Jesus Is Born Today
Jesus was born today born in a manger
though he was young they say he was no stranger
Though he was young they say he was no stranger
He has set me free if I will believe
I’m so glad to say it is his birthday
Jesus was born today oh how we praise him
Shepard’s and wise men say they will adore him
Mighty love is he just for you and me
I’m so glad to say it is his birthday happy birthday
I am so glad he came into my life gave me life made it right now everything will be all right
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
God rest ye merry gentlemen let nothing you dismay remember Christ our savior was born on Christmas day to save the world from satans power if we had gone astray oh tidings of comfort and joy comfort and joy oh tidings of comfort and joy
From God that is our father the blessed angle came
Into some certain Shepard’s with tiding all the same
That there was born in Bethlehem the Son of God by name
Oh tidings of comfort and joy comfort and joy oh tiding of comfort and joy
In Bethlehem of Judah the blessed babe was born and laid within a manger that blessed Christmas morn to which his mother Mary did nothing taken scorn oh tidings of comfort and joy comfort and joy oh tidings of comfort and joy
Jesus Is Lord
Manger and straw star over all
Savior a man baby so small
Evenings and morning drift on in our lives
Each Christmas brings changes to your world and mine
So sleep in heavenly peace Jesus is Lord for all times
Children leave home Christmas alone trees hung in memories each season has sewn trials have been heavy but through them you’ve grown God’s love is eternal he cares for his own
So sleep in heavenly peace Jesus is Lord for all times
Silent night holy night all is calm all is bright round yon virgin mother and child holy infant so tender and mild sleep in heavenly peace
Jesus is Lord for all times
We Need A Little Christmas
Haul out the holly put up the tree before my spirit falls again fill up the stockings I may be rushing things but deck the halls again now
For we need a little Christmas right this very minute?
Candles in the window carols and the spinet yes we need a little Christmas right this very minute it hasn’t snowed a single flurry Santa dear were in a hurry
Climb down the chimney put up the brightest string of lights I’ve ever seen slice up the fruitcake it’s time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bawl
For I’ve grown a little leaner grown a little colder grown a little sadder grown a little older and I need a little angle sitting on my shoulder we need a little Christmas now
Repeat chorus
I think I Saw ol’ Santa
I think I saw ole Santa through my window Christmas eve my eyes were really droopy but I really do believe it must have been ole Santa cause I saw I his big red hat and I know my mom and dad cant fly like that no way I know my mom and dad cant fly like that
And then I heard some footsteps in the hall outside my door the same ole Christmas trick my dad had played since I was four he stood outside my window yelling hoo hoo hoo because he know I don’t believe in Santa clause no way he knows I don’t believe in Santa clause
I think my daddy sees me peekin through my door he pretend he’s Santa anyway every year he tries to fool me but I’m a big boy now I don’t believe in Santa or his sleigh no way
So I went back to my bed and curled up nice and tight I stared outside my window and looked up into the night and then all from my window I could see Santa clause was flyin buy and smiling at me
Santa clause Santa clause must have been ole Santa clause Santa clause Santa clause happy hoo hoo hoo to you happy hoo hoo hoo to you
And then I heard ole Rudolph telling me to come outside told me that ole Santa wanted me to take a ride I climbed out from my window and I jumped onto his sleigh then ole Santa took me up and away Santa took me up up and away
We flew high above the rooftops of my sleepy town below I saw my big red school house in the town square picture shoe it was barely past my bed time and so ole Santa said Scotty you better get yourself in bed
So I hollered hoo hoo hoo hoo and I put on Santa’s hat and he let me hold on to the reigns a while we pulled to my window and I jumped into my room and I waived goodbye to Santa with a smile
When I woke up Christmas morning it was clear and bright my parents said my window had blown open in the night I smile as I told them that it must’ve been the cat then they asked me where I got my big red had yeah yeah where on earth you get that big red hat
