One Holy Morning

Lightning flashed across the sky as Jesus bleed and died
His followers in disbelief ran away and cried
T hey’d seen a wicked battle surely he would win
When he said it’s finished but could this be the end
Darkness fell upon the tomb the place where Jesus lay
Evil reign for two long nights and faith began to fade
Hopelessness and sorrow covered all the land
But soon enough the son arose and God revealed his plan

One holy morning the stone was rolled away
One holy morning he gave up the grave
It’s true that he was buried the fact remains he died
But one holy morning He came out alive

No matter how dark it seems soon you’ll see the light
There’s a dawning of a brand new day
For Jesus is alive I know he’s alive

Forgave Me Saved Me Raised Me

I once was lost but Calvary’s cross was waiting till I realized it
I wondered far in this ole heart was broken by the guilt inside it
I wasn’t much but heaven’s touch got a hold of me one day
I knelt confessed got up so blessed now this is all I wanna say

He raised me ( Jesus made me know I was a sinner) He forgave me ( gave me grace and mercy to) saved me (saved my soul and I became a winner now I know the joy I was missin) he raised me (I just want to tell the world about it) amazed me (this peace I can’t describe)

I been found I’m heaven bound and headed to a land of glory where saint’s will stand and lift there hands and all of them will tell their story when it’s my chance I might just dance I know that I’ll go on and on I’ll shout and praise for endless days forever this will be my song

Back To Me

A long time ago in a tiny desert town
An angry young man stood up and put his foot down
Said This life I lead aint livin’ I wanna make it on my own
So if you give me what you promised dad I’ll pack my things and go
Just before he started down that open road a broken hearted father said boy you need to know

Son you can run where you want to you can do as you please
But it wont change the fact that you belong to me
My love will never falter and my prayer will always be
That every step you take brings you back to me

So the son went on his way and it didn’t take long
for the money and his so called friends to be gone
he wound up just a beggar eatin with the swine
shivrin in the cold the night his daddy crossed his mind

He’ll never take me back I’ve gone to far
He just didn’t understand the love in his father’s heart

Don’t Let The Sandles Fool Ya

She wrapped them up in swaddling clothes laid them in a manger picked them up and held them close kept them free from danger she knew she had to let them go to face the world someday as the scoffers gathered round them I thought I heard her say

Don’t let the sandals fool ya brother I tell you he is like no other you say he’s only Joseph’s son I tell you he’s the holy one he’s heavens hallelujah don’t let the sandals fool ya this man is holy God

He could tell about the darkness of space the day before creation how he set the stars in place above earth’s gravitation then what he did the seventh day when all his work was through he the alpha and omega come down to me and you

Across The River

I’ve often prayed for God to heal a loved one I’ve pleaded for his touch upon their life I’ve rejoiced with every prayer I’ve seen him answer but at times I’ve had to watch and wonder why, why would God not choose to send his healing to a precious saint in their time of need oh but I believe that just across the river he’s performing miracles I cannot see

Across the river there is no sickness across the river there is no sorrow on that shore all the pain will be erased with one look on Jesus face across the river we’ll be healed forever

If I live I live because of mercy just to serve with each borrowed breathe of life oh but if I die I’ll still receive a healing waiting for me over on the other side

Hey Jonah

don’t start stallin’ God is calling you to preach in a far away land
ninevah is liable to miss a great revival if you don’t heed the lord command
don’t take the wrong boat it’ll never stay a float if the men didn’t throw you overboard
hey Jonah don’t you think it’s a long way to sink, don’t you think you oughta listen to the lord

but jonah was a rebel he listened to the devil the ship sailed out from the shore
the waves srarted knockin the winds started rockin he was frightened like he’d never been before
it threw him off the side and a whale was swimmin by it swallowed him and look around for more
hey jonah don’t you think it’s a long way to sink don’t you think you oughta listen to the lord

ole jonah didn’t go (so the lord had to put him in a place where he couldn’t get a away)
cause jonah didn’t know (when the lord calls you forth you need to pack and leave that very day)
but god delivered him (so the whale gave him up and his life and his callin’ was restored)
ole jonah learned the hard way you better do the right thing jonah learned you oghtta listen to the lord

the moral of the story god got the glory when the ninevites repented of their ways
jonah finally went there he set a little tent there he preached there were thousands who were saved there’s a message here for all who will hear the master’s call and do what jonah did and just ignore don’t wait to learn the hard way if jonah could he would say you know oughta listen to the lord

Rock Bottom

Once I was sinking so low drowning loosing my soul when I hit bottom as far as I could go that’s when I came to know

There is a rock at the rock bottom of it all there is a place to finally break the fall at the end of the rope when your backs against the wall there is a rock at the rock bottom of it all

Hear you are so far from grace on a pathway lost in your mistakes stranded in failure you fell you’ve gone to far but the answer is right where you are

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteous I dare not trust the sweetest phrase but only lean on Jesus name on Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand all other ground is sinking sand

Love Is The Key

Love is the key that makes the world go round
The best golden rule man has ever found found
Search in your heart for the answer true
Listen my friend for what it can do for you

‘ell are you ready boys
( trust your neighbor)
make you trust your neighbor and respect your fellow
( respect your fellow man)
you’ll walk with your head high
( make you walk with your head high)
it’ll make you do your very best
(do unto to others, the very best you can)
so you can look yourself straight in the eye
(and look yourself straight in the eye)

I say now love is the key that unlocks every door
I said that love is what makes the world go round
Come on and search the world to find the key you’re looking for
And then true happiness you’ve found

I’d Tell You About Jesus

If I only had one chance, to talk to you
And share with you what matters most to me
The first thought that comes to my mind
Is the truth that’s made a difference in my life?

I’d tell you about Calvary
I’d tell you about Grace
I’d tell you how the King of Glory came to earth and died there in my place
I’d tell you how forgiveness feels how he satisfies and heals
I’d tell you of the greatest love
I’d tell you about Jesus

I’d tell you how is blood can cover every sin
And how His resurrection is our hope
I’d tell you any day He’s coming back again
I’d tell you He’s all you need to know.
